Prof Henri Zukier taught psychology and history (as separate disciplines in different departments) in the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research. He holds a PhD in psychology from the University of Michigan, and a PhD from the University of Paris on French medieval Jewish history. He also was formerly a member of the New York Institute for the Humanities. More recently, he taught Holocaust history in the Graduate Division of Hebrew University's Rothberg International School. His publications focus on psychology, on medieval Jewish history and prejudice,  and on the Holocaust. His current research includes exploring the perpetrators of the Holocaust and, at the other end, the rescuers. Prof Zukier is particularly interested in cross-disciplinary approaches to issues which can shed light on the interconnectedness of history and human behavior.
