Bilha Shilo is doctoral candidate at the Department of History of the Jewish People and Contemporary Jewry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and she works for the International School for Holocaust Studies (ISHS) at Yad Vashem. Her dissertation, conducted under the guidance of Prof. Yfaat Weiss and Dr. Aya Elyada, deals with student applications to the Hebrew University during 1930s. In 2022, Shilo's first book, Ein Drama in Akten: Die Restitution der Sammlungen des Wilnaer YIVO, was published as part of "Hefez" series, by the Leibniz Institute for Jewish History and Culture – Simon Dubnow in Leipzig, and the Hebrew edition came later the same year - with the Hebrew University Magnes Press.
