Graduate of the B.A PPE program (philosophy, political science, economics) and the M.A program in Economics (research track), both from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (with honors), and currently a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the Hebrew University. His doctoral thesis studies the consequences of late modernity on religious groups, and specifically examines the formation processes, views and struggles of the liberal religious fields among religious Zionism and Sephardic Judaism. Gilad is Winner of the outstanding scholarship of the Department of Sociology, the scholarship of the Research Institute for Contemporary Jewry at the Hebrew University, the Neubauer scholarship of the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) and a member of the research group "Beyond the Liberal Imagination" at the Van Leer Institute. Gilad previously served as a research economist in the research division of the Bank of Israel (2015-2017), and later as the director of economic research in Pareto Group (2018-2022).
